Rush Basketball program the first in Illinois to to use 94fifty technology
to analyze and evaluate shooting and ball handling skills for it's players.

This recently developed state of the art technology has been used primarily at the college level until now!  94fifty uses computer technology to analyze all the essential specifics of each player's shooting and ball handling, maps it to an existing "optimum" database, then through it's analytical process, suggests adjustments for each player to correct deficiencies and achieve optimum mechanics.

All players trying out for the Rush basketball AAU program will be tested with this new technology!

Important information regarding Rush Basketball:

Rush Basketball is an elite level AAU girls program.  In two years of AAU competition we have won two AAU state championships
(U12 in 2011 and U13 in 2010) and multiple USJN (United States Junior Nationals) tourneys.

Rush Basketball requires a serious commitment from both the athlete and parent.  Our goal is to develop both basketball and
life skills of the young ladies in our program and that can not happen without buy in from both the player and parent.

Rush Basketball will play in a select number of tournaments that will give the girls the exposure they need to showcase their
skills while not overwhelming their summer or preventing them from participating in other activities.

We strongly believe the development of fundamental skills is deteriorating at all levels of basketball as noted in the quote below.
To prevent this in our program, we insist on regular attendance at practices and strive for an appropriate balance between practice and game play.  We firmly believe players will not reach their potential by simply playing in AAU games.  Practice and fundamental skill development is where the majority of improvement takes place.

Ultimately our goal is to help committed young ladies reach their highest potential and prepare them for success at the next level. To that end, multiple players on both our U12 and U14 teams have already received interest from Division I college programs.

“If you look at a wide variety of AAU programs nationally, you will find young kids traveling the country playing games, and not being able to practice or work on their games. It is really that simple. While young kids are busy traversing the country to play in AAU competitions, they are spending hour upon hour running up and down the court in a helter-skelter atmosphere where, 95 percent of the time, they do not have the ball in their hands. What this does is cement bad habits -- and habits, good or bad, are what players revert to under stress.” Jay Bilas, ESPN

Rush U14 finish 3rd in 2011 AAU State Tournament!
A repeat was not meant to be as the Rush U14 Basketball team fell to the Lady Hurricanes (this years' champions)
in their semi final game.  Jim Russo, Illinois AAU Director stated; "The U14 level this year is the toughest and most
talented field I have ever seen".  While a championship repeat would have been amazing, 3rd overall in
State is a respectable finish and their loss came to a very talented and deserving team!  Congratulations girls!

2010 U13 AAU Illinois State Champions!

Rush Basketball was founded in 2005 when the current U14 team were 4th graders.  In the early years we primarily traveled within the tri-country area of Peoria, Illinois.  Later we began to travel and compete in AYBT tournaments throughout Illinois. Now we focus on AAU and USJN tournaments and travel throughout Illinois and neighboring states. We have accumulated many tournament championships over the years.  We typically compete in the highly skilled division of the tournaments we play in and occasionally we play a level above our own.  With our team you will see aggressive play and continuous movement at both ends of the floor.  Our success comes from our focus on fundamentals and unselfish team play.  You will also see a team that exhibits the same tenacity and mental determination regardless if we are up by twenty or down by twenty.

One measure of success for any athlete who puts in the time and commitment to a sport during the off-season, is how they perform on their school team.  One of the goals at Rush Basketball is to develop the girls basketball skills in such a way that they can compete at a level higher than than own.   This is accomplished through competitive experience and proficiency of fundamentals and knowledge of the game of basketball.   As the U13 Rush team entered their freshmen year in High School, it became evident the Rush Basketball program was successfully meeting its goals and commitment to the girls!  Here are some of the Rush players who, as freshmen, participated on their varsity school teams;
